Yahoo Photos closing. wha about email attachments?
Sorry if this has been asked already… but I looked around and couldn't find a solid answer. I found something in the FAQ's regarding Yahoo Photos closing down. The question is "What happens to my photos that I've used elsewhere on Yahoo!?" and here is part of the answer:
"Unfortunately the Yahoo! Photos features in these services will all be going away soon, which means your photos will no longer be accessible from these services. And your photos will definitely not be available from these other services (or anywhere else on the Web for that matter) after Yahoo! Photos closes and all remaining photos are deleted and no longer accessible."
Does this mean they'll delete all the attachment photos I have in my yahoo mail account? I'm confused by their answer. Thanks.

Yahoo has made provisions to have your photos reside on Kodak Companion.
When you open your Yahoo Photos, you should see instructions for migrating your photos.

Attachments are copies of photos that are physically in your mail. You will not lose them. If you have links to your photos (not copies) at other sites you will lose them.
Think of copies of files on your computer and shortcuts. If you delete the original the copies are still there but the shortcuts no longer work. Think of links as shortcuts.
It is sometimes difficult to tell if an icon you have at a forum is a copy or a link back to the original. You will have to read the fine print.
Right click on photos you have at other sites and look at properties. If it shows photos.yahoo.com it is a link and will be gone.

I reviewed over 39 Image Hosting sites. I found that: to be the best! Fast, Free, no Watermarks!
Best of all it is free and they do not ever remove your pictures!
Transfer all your pictures to OrkutFotos, you can create custom private galleries, flash side shows, your own private account with unlimited storage and more!
