Yahoo is migrating my photos to Flickr in error! I really need Shutterfly! What do I do?
sars asked:
I have yahoo photos account. Now since yahoo-photos is closing down, I chose to select another photo sharing site. I selected Flickr and then immediately realized they only allow 200 photos otherwise I need to pay $25 yearly to view all albums. I had 60+ albums, total of around 3000 pix in my yahoo photos. I immediately went back on yahoo photos and selected Shutterfly for migration. I was glad to receive an email from Shutterflly; that they are in process of migrating my photos.
Now when I try to access my yahoo photos account, it says the account is locked and photos are being migrated to Flickr. OH NO…. What do I do? I don’t want my yahoo photos to be migrated to Flickr. I like Flickr, but I don’t think I’d be using Flickr features like blog, adding comments etc. I just need a place to put all my albums and view them free of charge. I really need Shutterfly and not Flickr. Who do I contact? I’d appreciate your help.

OK, so one of two things will happen:
1) You will be stuck with Flickr
2) Shutterfly may be able to work with Yahoo to get your photos to Shutterfly instead.
Send your question to Shutterfly customer service at and they might be able to ask Yahoo to unlock your account so you can pick Shutterfly.
