Linking flickr Photos to blog?

senthilvka asked:

I previously had my photos in Yahoo Photos.I have kept the photos in Public mode and have created links to these photos in my blog ( I use Blogger.com ).When someone browses the blog and clicks on the link it takes them to Yahoo photos.

Now that Yahoo photos is getting closed I have transferred my photos to Flickr. Can someone tell me how to create a similiar link to flickr photos in my blog ?.

Please note - I dont want the photos to be embedded in my blog.I just want to create a link from my blog to flickr photos.

No Longer Amused @ 12:24 am:

Linking to Flickr photos is easy and can be done in a multitude of ways. I will give you three which produce only a text link. Remember, for any of these to work the pictures to which you are linking must be set to Public. If they are set to Only you, Only friends or Only family then not everyone will be able to see them. By default Flickr uploads your Photos set to Only you.

To link to your Flickr page as a whole so people can easily see all of your photos simply log in to Flickr, click the arrow next to "You" then click "Your Photos" from the submenu. When your photo page opens simply copy and paste the URL from your browser address bar into your blog.

If you want to link to specific photos, that's pretty simple too. Click the photo to which you wish to create a link. When it opens simply copy and paste the URL from your browser address bar into your blog. This link will open the picture in a Flickr page from which people could see all of your other photos if they so chose.

If you wish to link only to a specific photo with no other content included, you can do that too. Click the photo to which you wish to create a link. When it opens click the "ALL SIZES" link directly above it. When that opens, click the picture size you wish people to see when they click your link. Scroll down to choice 2 and copy the URL of the photo then paste it into your blog entry. This link will open the picture at the size you selected in a window by itself with no other Flickr content included.

If any response you receive to any question satisfactorily resolves your issue please select it as Best Answer instead of allowing your question to go to voting. This adds helpful information to the database which may later assist another user and returns three of the five points you spent to ask this question. It also removes the potential for vote fraud.
