my mom has a sony DSC-S650 camera. i have the usb cord and i downloaded the cd that came with it. when i put the usb cord in the camera and the computer and nothing happens.. how can i take the pics off the camera and put them on the computer?

I think you will have to activate the USB Connection via your camera before your PC can detect it. Switch your camera on, plug in the cable and see whether there is any message on the camera screen. If everything else fails, read the manual.

If your usb cable doesnt work, you can buy a card reader, they are much easier to use and faster than using the usb cable. They also save on your cameras battery power.
